Welcome to Strohschein Law Group, LLC.  This is a family-owned law firm which is exclusively devoted to the practice of Estate and Long Term Care Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Guardianship and Probate Litigation.  We deal with sensitive family situations every day and realize how difficult they can be at times.  We too are a family (some by blood relationship and others by choice) and we wanted you to know a little bit about us, as we guide your family through difficult times.

This is me, Linda M. Strohschein.  I am the owner of the law firm.  I have been in practice since 1996 and owned this
business since 2004.  I started my legal career handling Probate Litigation in a suburban law firm.  After three years, I
decided that there must be a better way to avoid Will and Trust conflicts by drafting the documents correctly in the first
place.  I then proceeded to law firms in Chicago where I learned extensively about drafting Wills and Trusts, especially
for Special Needs families.  Then my own family brought my focus back to the St. Charles area when I started Strohschein Law Group.  In less than five years, we have grown to a team of 12 and we continue to add talented new people because the need keeps growing.  I have two very active elementary school age kids that keep me busy and smiling, two cats and four fish.  I am not sure how the fish arrived but the kids seem to like them.  My email address is Linda@StrohscheinLawGroup.com

Katie Fitzmaurice is an associate attorney with Strohschein Law Group.  Katie joined us after having spent the first seven years of her legal career with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.  She gained extensive litigation experience and spent countless hours in the courtroom as a government attorney, and now utilizes those skills for the benefit of our clients.  She is as comfortable arguing in a courtroom as she is sitting at her desk counseling clients through the ups and downs of litigation.  Katie resides in the Western Suburbs with her husband and two boys.  Katie's email address is Katie@StrohscheinLawGroup.com.

Michele M. Hodgson is an associate attorney with Strohschein Law Group.  Kari L. Collins is a Paralegal who focuses primarily on Public Benefits and Guardianship matters for clients.  Kari came to us right out of school as a result of knowing her mom who works at a senior residence in  the Tri-City area.  Kari has an extraordinary attention to detail which comes in really handy when a four inch stack of documents arrives for the latest benefit application or an existing guardianship file arrives to sort through and understand what has happenedsince it started.  Kari lives locally with her husband and two cats.  They have been working diligently to rehab their house and have been doing a great job  making it into a comfortable home.  Kari can be reached via email at

Diane Gutshall is my sister and the Office Manager with Strohschein Law Group.  Diane joined the law firm as a favor to me working a few hours at a time only twice a month.  Diane and I have spent many late nights at this office creating what you see and experience as a client.  Diane efficiently handles all of the Invoices as well as a myriad of marketing duties, office and computer maintenance.  She lives locally with her husband and three children who are also called to duty at Strohschein Law Group to help out their favorite aunt.  Diane is the self-declared expert on all things Walt Disney World.  If you ask her, she will be able to tell you which animals at Animal Kingdom are real and which ones are animatronics.  Diane can be reached via email at Diane@StrohscheinLawGroup.com

Susan Henberger is my Mom and the Bookkeeper with Strohschein Law Group.  She was my supporter from day one when I realized back in Seventh Grade that I wanted to be a lawyer.  She was also my very first employee because who else can you trust but your Mom when it comes to the finances of the business!  Susan (Mom) manages the day-to-day tasks that a busy firm requires such as payroll, various human resource duties and, of course, accounts payable. My Mom and Dad had several businesses when I was growing up so she definitely brings real world business expertise to the Strohschein Law Group.  She lives locally and plays a mean hand of Canasta or Triple Play when asked.  Susan can be reached via email at mailto:Susan@StrohscheinLawGroup.com
